Denver graduates preschool

I feel like I handle the kids growing up well for the most part & then something like this jumps up on me.

Denver’s little graduation ceremony was really sweet and when they asked him what he wanted to do when he grew up his answer was "Really cool things."

It’s only appropriate him & Mosi were seated side by side as that is how they have done things for the last 3 years.
What a stroke of luck to find your best buddy that was orginally located halfway around the world from you...I love their little friendship.

I didn’t grow up with a brother or around little boys but I am so lucky to get this one to raise and I’m already a bit emotional thinking about his next big graduation. (I’m not crying - you’re crying!)

Congrats Denver - getting to watch you learn & grow is such a pleasure.

End of school activities

The last nine weeks of school were a struggle to get through.  We were out 3 days because of a gas leak just a week after getting back from spring break & then the teachers went on strike for the first two weeks in April.

So like Lily in this picture we were barely hanging on as we cruised into the second to last week in May.

A couple of fun things that happened in the last few weeks was Annie went & read one of Denver’s favorite books to his class.

Denver was so proud to have her there.  Look at his face. 😊

Annie also had a special trip to the local gas station to put in to practice her money counting & budgeting skills.

We came & ate lunch with Annie one last time before I have two kids in all day school 😦

At last we made it to the end!

Ball players

This spring Denver started playing Kball

There was a lot of parental guidance (ratio of more than 1 parent to kid :)

and he really seemed to learn a lot and enjoy himself

so that’s what it’s all about.

Annie played softball for the first time

Just like anything Annie does, she worked hard, did her best, & came away learning a lot.

These two put in all the effort & were focused working to get better every game & practice.  I am so proud of them.

Vet school open house

One of big the benefits of living in Stillwater are all the fun activities the college puts on.

Easter

Easter was COLD this year.
The kids hunted eggs in jackets because it was freezing outside.

I didn’t even get pictures of the big kids in the backyard because Lily & I were freezing.

We kept the Easter bunny locked out & just let me fill the basket because Annie &
I decided the Easter bunny is creepy.
